15 Games to go. 21/02/2021

This season was always going to be tough on the players with so many games to be played. Including the cup run we have played more games than many.

Yesterday’s defeat means we have now gone on a run of 3 games without a win scoring only 1 goal. We still found ourselves in 2nd place with Swansea losing but they have two games in hand on us.

At the start of season no one would of imagined we would be without so many key players through injury. As fans we was calling for new signings with the depth of the squad not big enough and now having to rely on inexperienced players on the bench.

In a team pushing for automatic promotion we could of done with more experienced players and Yesterdays game showed that as there was no leaders on the pitch with Jansson, Toney both out injured and Henrik on the bench.

With no news on how long Toney will be out for it will be a great opportunity for Forss to have a run in the starting 11, we have all seen glimpses of how good and quick he is and he can definitely cause problems for the Championship defences.

Let’s hope Henry’s injury is not as bad as it seemed yesterday, he has been a stand out player for us for some time now and one if not the best left back in the league.

The team done great going 21 games unbeaten but in football these achievements are quickly forgotten.

We know how good we can be let’s stay positive and we will come good again. I can see this Championship season going to the final day and other teams around us will also have bad runs just look at Bournemouth and yesterdays Swansea result.

With two home games coming up against Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke this will be a great chance to get back to winning ways and get the players confidence back again.
